The second volume of The Advanced Piano Method for Left-Handers – New Da Vinci Notation continues the systematic piano training introduced in Volume I. It is designed for left-handed children, teenagers, and adults who are already familiar with the basics of the Da Vinci notation and wish to further develop their technical and musical skills.

The level of difficulty ranges from the end of elementary level to intermediate level. In addition to expanding melodic and rhythmic understanding, this volume places particular emphasis on technical development. Numerous studies – including exercises inspired by Carl Czerny as well as original technical compositions by Géza Losó – strengthen finger independence, agility, and control of the left hand as the leading melodic hand.

The repertoire includes original compositions and selected performance pieces from various stylistic periods, ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach to Johannes Brahms. At the end of the volume, several four-hand pieces are included to promote ensemble playing and broaden musical experience.

Like all volumes in this series, Volume II is fully based on the Da Vinci notation. The musical score is written upside down (vertically mirrored), additionally mirrored horizontally, and consistently read from right to left. This notation is specifically designed to correspond with a mirrored left-handed keyboard, where the lower notes are positioned on the right and the higher notes on the left. Reading direction, keyboard layout, and playing movement form a unified and coherent system.

In this concept, the left hand primarily carries the melody, while the right hand mainly provides accompaniment. This integrated approach of mirrored keyboard and Da Vinci notation enables left-handed pianists to develop their technique and musical expression in a natural and structured way.

Volume II represents the logical continuation after the foundation level and supports the systematic advancement of left-handed piano studies.
